The exhibition showing the work “Tumultuous Convolutions” (2020-2021) by the artist Nour Sokhon can be accessed at the main square of the town of Korčula. The exhibition is visible through personal mobile devices, connecting via the “grey) (area” Wi-Fi network. This is a new digital art presentation format organized by the grey) (area association - a space of contemporary and media art from Korčula, realized in cooperation with the Format C Art Organization based in Zagreb and the Korčula Town Museum.
“Tumultuous Convolutions” serves as an emotional timeline, which narrates the horrific tale of information overload which Lebanese citizens have witnessed particularly from the end of 2019 (The Lebanese Revolution, The Economic Collapse, The Pandemic and the August 4th Beirut Port Blast) to this present day. On international news platforms brief highlights of the violent events which take place in the country are shared, however limited information is presented about the labyrinth state of mind which “Tumultuous Convolutions” narrates through text and sound. The soundscape is composed of interview material and field recordings from Lebanon. The interviews contain stories shared by a female volunteer that worked in the Red Cross in Beirut, and fragments from a conversation with Dr. Jessica Argo, whose research focuses on immersive soundscapes to elicit anxiety in exposure therapy. The field recordings used were collected in different parts of the country from 2019 - 2020.

Izložba Jake konvolucije (Tumultuous Convolutions) libanonske umjetnice Nour Sokhon predstavljena je na glavnom trgu grada Korčule, Trgu sv. Marka, do 14. 9. 2022. godine.
