FUSE x Fubar 2022 workshop: Datamosh 101

This video glitch art workshop presents a relevant video reinterpretation concept – datamosh. The session introduction will cover various methods, techniques and practices of datamoshing in video art. Participants will use free software to transcode, modify, conserve their video work and to create sustainable digital errors.

By moshing video – workshop attendees will acquire different digital art and software skills as well as a broader understanding of digital formats, containers, codecs, software and licensing as the base elements of contemporary digital production.

The workshop consists of 2 x 1.5 hour modules, which will take place on Fri June 3rd 2022 from 11.00 to 14.00h CEST/UTC+02 via our online open platform.
